There are hundreds of paths up the mountain all leading to the same place, so it doesn’t matter which path you take. The only person wasting time is the one who runs around the mountain, telling everyone that his or her path is wrong. – Hindu proverb
Get to the top of the mountain, that’s the Goal!
Formerly an ‘Attachment Parenting’ playgroup (breastfeeding, natural childbirth, co-sleeping, healthy living and eating, etc.). But great moms come in many different forms.
To me, what makes a great Mama, one that I want to get to know, is:
That whenever your child or children have used up your last shred of ____________(fill in the blank – energy, sanity, patience, fortitude, knowledge, etc.), you dig a little deeper, and find more.
Only sometimes you don’t, because life is about balance, and we all need to find that balance … where we are taking care of ourselves as well as others.
Figure out what works for you.
Find your passions in life.
Find balance in family, work, play, personal, community.

Karen you are an inspiration to all of us. Just to let you know a similar thought (not as perfectly as said in the quote) to the Hindu proverb which came to me while I was hiking in a garden in China which may have been a Hindu garden with my dad. I said to him “There are many paths but only one destination”. Saying we are all going to the say place even though we take many different paths. And now I realize the same place is not “heaven” but is everything and everyone because we are all one.
