‘To see Christians not talking Christ, but demonstrating Christ.’

I have seen Diva Montell perform a couple of times at the Arcada Theatre in Saint Charles.  Diva is the daughter of an opera singer and Chicago entertainer Freddie Montell.   She sings opera, love songs, Broadway tunes and more and harkens back to an age of sophisticated Hollywood Glam.

She will be singing with Jeorge Holmes voted by the Daily Herald in 2012 as one of the 15 Fox Valley People of the Year.

Plus this is a fundraiser for Love Elgin Day – an area  church sponsored event providing food, clothes and services to the needy on April 26, 2014.  Watch this video of a man who spent thirteen years in prison (nine in solitary confinement) who was released from prison last year and was struggling to adjust back to society.

Love Elgin Day changed his life.    In the video, he talks about what he found was not preachy nor intellectual, what he found, was … Love.

Pretty powerful stuff.
