I wish that I could give you the world
but I cannot.
Life’s greatest lessons are often painful.
My wish is that you may always see the lesson through the pain.
Other things of great importance that I have learned in my 49 years.
Oh my! If I knew them at your age, what a different life I would have led!
Find the joy in your life.
Be unabashedly, unapologetically yourself.
Do not be afraid to let go of people, situations, jobs, circumstances …
when you do, the right people, situations, jobs and circumstances will appear.
Until you have children with someone,
and then do your utmost best to make it work.
Divorce is so hard on children.
I am sorry.
But fighting is not easy on children either.
I never did understand that maxim that it takes two to fight.
But it does.
You always have a right to believe what you want to believe,
once you realize that,
then you realize that you do not have to convince anyone else of anything.
Stay strong in your own personal truth.
I know you will do that.
And just keep turning.
Every situation where you choose love over fear,
you will have won
no matter the outcome.
You are not in control.
God is.
Trust him.
Where your money goes,
that is where your life is.
Be sure to put it in the right places.
Find the right people in your life
to trust
and then trust them
knowing that they will let you down
but forgive them.
“We are all just walking each other home.”
There are many, many different types of ‘death’ in life.
And the majority of them are way worse than physical death.
Do your best to take good care of your body, but know that your body is a shell
given to you by God to serve a purpose.
When that purpose is done,
your body will be done.
Period.
Find the purpose.
When you find your purpose,
doors and windows open.
It is the most amazing and magical thing.
May you find your purpose.
Listen and respect the elders in your life.
We have learned a lot from our own mistakes in life.
But then do what is right for you.
I love you to infinity and beyond.

“And remember that life’s A Great Balancing Act.
And will you succeed?
Yes! You will, indeed!
(98 and ¾ percent guaranteed)
Kid, you’ll move mountains.”
― Dr. Seuss, Oh, The Places You’ll Go!
On Children
Kahlil Gibran
Your children are not your children.
They are the sons and daughters of Life’s longing for itself.
They come through you but not from you,
And though they are with you yet they belong not to you.
You may give them your love but not your thoughts,
For they have their own thoughts.
You may house their bodies but not their souls,
For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow,
which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams.
You may strive to be like them,
but seek not to make them like you.
For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday.
You are the bows from which your children
as living arrows are sent forth.
The archer sees the mark upon the path of the infinite,
and He bends you with His might
that His arrows may go swift and far.
Let your bending in the archer’s hand be for gladness;
For even as He loves the arrow that flies,
so He loves also the bow that is stable.
