sacred heart

Absolutely everything.

First things first, will I have enough to feed and clothe and shelter myself and my loved ones?

22,000 people a day die of starvation.

Most of them are children.

When was the last time you donated to an organization that helps feed starving people?

We are the lucky ones, sitting behind our computers facing First World problems.

Trust Mother Earth that she will provide the most basic of your needs.

Learn to let emotions flow through you. Don’t shove them down deep until they explode.

Recognize, surrender and release them.

Establish your will, your personal power.

Draw your boundaries and then stand firm and proud in the uniqueness of your vision.

And now you are ready to love.

Not passionate, erotic love,

But all encompassing, accepting, comforting Love.

It is what makes the world go around.

And connects us to all others.

By the way, interesting isn’t it that Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs roughly corresponds to the Chakras (except the colors are backwards.)

There’s so much we could learn from each other if we kept an open mind and reached out, recognizing how we are all connected and similar.

This Full Moon in Taurus is about Relationships.

How do you relate to others?

Are you scared, envious, boastful, proud, sullen, protective?

Or do you do your best to keep your heart open and loving?

Here is my ten minute guided meditation on opening your heart to love

(excuse the froggy voice as I have opened myself to a cold.)

Matthew 22:36-40 from New International Version (NIV)

36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”

37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’[a] 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[b] 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

There are no ‘qualifiers’ on that statement (as long as they are Christian, Republican, Muslim, Democrat, New Agers, Pagans, Lightworkers,  etc  …).

No, it just says to Love.
